Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 at Atlanta with Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in the theatre at a young stage. As a student of Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University as well as in other parts of Atlanta. He joined the air force in 1953. During his time stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in a military production that included Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in Air Force. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year 1957. Walter along with his wife were discharged from the Air Force in the year 1957, when they enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter was employed as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for the show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show that was aimed at children, known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. This was a project that they funded themselves. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It was in operation for a period of about six years. In 1965, they welcomed two more children into their lives: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
