Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. There is also a younger sister, who is currently working as a research associate Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight year old classical pianist who was also an avid geek. Young Stars is a Jackson Five style group that she joined when she was 10 years old that was the basis of her musical and singing career. She performed as an actor at her college and was a part of in several plays produced by The Madras Players, EVAM as well as other theatre companies. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea's professional career began with the Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She starred with Shiva as a leo commercial for a coffee. In 2006, she appeared in a series that was airing on Podhigai. She performed throughout India. She was in a small role during the climax of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea to portray a lead character after she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife who's husband is involved in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was picked for the part after actresses Simran Shobana and Tabu were approached. The film was released in the early part of 2010 The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to play a minor part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic movie that was released in 2013.
